I want to get a good mouse for my new xps. I was looking to go the bluetooth route but this doesn't seem to friendly to gaming. What are you guys using to game on your new systems?

Probably gonna stick with my old MX518 cord mouse.
Not the most portable thing, but when it comes to gaming, certain sacrifices must be made.

I use this on my HTPC from about 10 feet away and I've played Borderlands extensively with it. I have NO complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend it.

For MMO gaming, this mouse rocks, not sure on FPS.

Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth mouse, it's small and sits on your index and middle finger, and ultra light, uses 2x AAA batteries. I tried the new Logitech Anywhere MX notebook mouse, but it was heavy and too big. My wrist hurt after 1 hour. Trying to avoid moving my wrist, instead with the 5000 I literally rest my wrist on my mousepad and move my fingers side to side.

Batteries last about 2-3 wks with heavy MMO playing. It's so light.
Only 4 button. If you need FPS precision, go corded.

Not sure why it matters what computer you have, so I'll just pipe in and say I use a Logitech MX518... great mouse... great price :)

I play mostly RTS games (Starcraft II, Dawn of War II), but also FPS (CounterStrike, Team Fortress 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2), and this mouse is great for both.

    Razer Orochi!

And I have had atleast 30+ mice over the years :p If you have a big hand, go with logitech, if you have a small hand, then razer is the choice.

Both brands perform the same, its all about how big your hand is :)

Bluetooth options seems so limited compared to wireless ones. Why would something requiring a external receiver be more popular than something that only requires an internal receiver?
