    Hi,

I got my new xps 15.
I have earlier never played any computer games and would like to try on my new power machine.

Could someone please list some top games and link to buy them if they are sold or if they are free its good.

Civilization V! Super fun, looks awesome on the FHD screen with the graphics cranked up.

considering yours is a FHD, so for good eye candy and gameplay you could try out Assassins Creed II, Dirt 2, Crysis & Crysis Warhead.

The 540M isn't really powerful enough to run demanding games at the native 1920x1080 resolution so be careful what games you get so as to not get disappointed. Personally, I'm going back and playing older games that I may have missed or would like to revisit again. There's a ton of them on Steam and they are pretty cheap as well. Source games like Half Life 2 or Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines would run well at native resolution and at a good level of detail. Other games from Steam I'm planning on checking out are Arx Fatalis, STALKER, Borderlands, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

If you like RTS games Shogun Total War 2 or World in Conflict are amazing games. FPS: Battlefield Bad Company 2, Crysis Warhead. If you like horror games: Amnesia - The Dark Decent and the Penumbra series.
