i received my xps 1330 today but when i tried to play a game on it that doesnt support widescreen, the screen had a black border around it. I tried to edit the settings through the nvidia control panel but there arent that many options and i couldnt find anyhthing for that option. I know on my old laptop with the ati radeon 9700 pro, i could edit anything i wanted with the factory drivers. Where can i get an updated control panel for the 8400? I have the most recent dell drivers from the dell website.

    You mean scaling?

Does your NVidia CP have scaling settings?

Check your bios and make sure you have the latest video drivers.
