For some reason, the original thread is missing my posting and it also is not allowing me to edit. So, please excuse this re-post Or let me know how to edit/delete the other post.

I have a Dell XPS M1530 and replaced the original battery with another unit from a online seller who claims his battery is genuine Dell Battery.

My original battery has a white tag with S/N with text "Assembled in China" on the white S/N sticker itself.

The battery I got online has a white tag with S/N and also has the following text - "Battery cell made in Korea". The same white tag also has text at the bottom "201010".

On the battery is also stamped - "Battery Cell Made In Korea Assembled In China"

All text that I have above are exactly as they appear (including case of the alphabets).

How can I ensure that I have a genuine Dell battery on hand?

    Thanks,
