99.99% getting a xps m1530, using it for school and gaming (cs 1.6 haha),

my question is what is the deal with getting a faulty lcd screen? Can someone direct me to the forum where I can see if I would get a bad lcd and how/where to replace?

Aside from the LCD screen, anything else I should be aware of about this laptop?

Thanks! Im new here and I plan on learning more here.

well know that you will not be getting the best of speakers and you can't rly tell if you are going to get a bad one, just have to turn it on a use it to see and for some reason i reccomend you wait because some good proc upgrade as well as maybe a graphics card upgrade might be here by summer so if you can wait then i would wait. wishes for montevina and 9600m gt

    Thanks stuntdragon, that helped.

Im really anxious to get one soon, just because it will be better than my desktop and I'm not so demanding for graphics card because I really only play cs 1.6. Other than that I just hope the laptop will last a good time.

no, you can't replace the graphics card, for the m1530, you can upgrade the RAM, cpu, and harddrive, screen, but not the graphics card

Hi, unfortunately this can't be done because the 8600m gt is soldered to the mainboard.

Wow you can really change the cpu? Is there a forum onto how to change it? Anyhow I've been saving up for quite a long time now and by waiting longer just kills meee! Well I'm not too worried about the graphics card, I plan on sticking to the old cs 1.6 heh
