Decided to pop the lid on my 1330 today and got curious about the extra mini pcie slot.
Thinking of getting one of these bad boys: http://www.ubnt.com/products/sr71e.php to replace my Dell b/g card.
If they make a fast (a la ocz vertex) mini pcie SSD, maybe I'll snag one.
After this semester is over, I may also attempt to mod a gig-e port using this mini pci-e card: http://www.globalamericaninc.com/product_info.php?products_id=1507780
either piggyback the 10/100 port thats already there, or somehow mod a new port/ a cable with a jack sticking out somewhere. If so I'll post here, so consider this a placeholder.

The M1330 already has Gigabit LAN. What is so special about that specific wireless card? Shouldn't it be the same as other wireless N cards?

when I bought my 1330 last june gigabit was not an option. There is a driver error that lists it as gigabit in windows, but it is not, only 10/100.

That company specializes in high power custom wireless solutions, kind of an off handed addition to the post, not really sure if its worth it or not. -
Wireless N band is worth getting and as for the Gigabit mod way not if you can find space to place the interface card.
Go for it
Got a Gigabyte WIRELESS card in mine
