I'm looking at the Cooler Master U2 right now but the fans seem underpowered at 15CFM and I'm not sure about the size... Any recommendations? Trying to spend less than $30

I have the 9 cell battery and it'd be nice if I could keep it in while the cooler's attached but it's not a necessity

That does look pretty good. I checked out many more and narrowed it down to the U2 and Massive23. What kind of temps are you getting with that thing? Does the CPU fan ever kick in when doing light work w/turbo boost? The main reason I want a cooler is to avoid the constant spin up and down of Dell's fan

You could get the U3 which has three fans instead =D

I removed the bottom plate, so the large cooler fan blows air right up into the computer. My CHU here in Iraq is fairly noisy, so I never hear the fan. I can feel the fan blowing hot air when I watch a BD or play a game, but I never hear it. My idle temps are about 38C.
The Massive23 is exactly the right size for the L502, so carrying it around while on the cooler is very easy, especially with the two handles on the sides.

About a week ago I purchased the Coolermaster U2. I liked the design, the flexibility of the fan positions, and the price. Since using it with my L502X the on-off fan issue is no longer. I'm no power user by anyone's standards, but the machine is running cooler and the fan isn't spinning up every few seconds, so consider me a happy consumer.

Agreed. Quiet and keeps the notebook cool.
