That is an incredible price, well worth the purchase. I payed £780 for my xps1530 just 3 weeks ago (see signature for specs).

My problem with this price is >

I could get a sony fz series with blu-ray for another 50.00, but the graphics card is not great, only a 8600gs plus no remote.

Im in a real bind here, 800.00 is a lot to sepnd as I have kids and a house.

    Need some more advise.

    Thanks

PS or do you think it would be better to wait for maybe another 10% discount code, or maybe a sale

Where did you find this deal? All the m1530s on the Dell UK website still have the older processors and only the Bluray model seems to have the 1440x900 screen.

You can get the Penryns if you call. They just don't have them on the site yet.

And yeah, if you can afford it, it's an excellent deal! There is a 10% discount code floating about that's currently active, and if you can get the lady to apply it on top of that price, you're a bargaining god. But even without this is a really nice price and if you want to wait till you can get similar configs from Dell for cheaper, you'll probably have to wait awhile.

    Well done!

If you really want to buy it, do it then, else wait a bit more. I have got my M1530 for only 1003 euro. I don't know how much it's in dollar or pond but for my specs it was very cheap. Here are the specs

    T9300 2.5GHZ 6MB-L2 Cache
200 GB 7200 RPM with FREE FALL SENSOR
    4 GB DDR2
    1440 x 900 WXGA+
    6 CELL BATTERY
    NVIDIA 8600GT
    BLUE-TOOTH
    WIRELESS
    1 YEAR SUPPORT
    Price = 1003 euro

OK, I will give Dell a call. I did one of their online chat thingies and the sales advisor told me that the Penryns were not available on the m1530. I hope their call centre staff are better informed.

In the outlet thread yesterday, there was another guy from the U.K. who had a machine with 8300. Said he asked for it when he called, and they gave it to him. :)

    Good luck!
