    Good overclock speed for my M1530

    Hi

    I just wanted to know if anyone had the following specs and could recommend a good overclock speed?

    M1530
    Vista Home Premium
    T7500 2.2ghz
    2gb Ram
    256mb Graphics
    250gb Hard Drive

    Overclocking varies system to system. Although make and model is the same each GPU is actually unique and has a different limit. Some can go ridiculously high well others cant even really overclock to make it worthwhile. It is recommended you slowly up your clocks at 5mhz incriments. If you search "8600m GT overclock" there is a little guide also in the dummies section there is a guide. good luck! :wink:

    I think it is STUPID to overclock the XPS m1530!
    It's fast enough without shortening it's life by overclocking.

    2nd that, the system is fast enough.
    you wont see any difference overall.
    OC may shorten your notebook life time. I have the same system and did tried to OC, nothing change beside 3d mark score.

    i never knew that when you OC a computer it shortens it life...

    I was going to do it but I love my m1530 and now there is no way I want to ruin a good thing.
