How do these specs sound for the money?
M1330
T5500 - 1.83Ghz
2GB RAM
120GB 5400rpm HD
4 Cell
Integrated graphics
3 Year next day business warranty
3 Years insurance
office 07 included.
for £380.
It seems a good deal imo but I also wanted to ask about dell's warranty terms. When I look at that spec I immediately saw that the HD = not great so can I replace the HD with a 160gb 7200rpm, put in 4gb ram and buy a 9 cell to use or will switching the internal components void the warranty?
cheers

Is it refurbished?

No it's a school laptop programme buy

Dude, thats an awesome price...

So can I have some information on the warranty terms and condition please.
-
What you said will not void the warranty since the battery, hard drive and RAM are all considered user-serviceable. Anything beyond that (such as changing you processor) may or may not void your warranty.
It will, in the sense that the processor isn't user-serviceable and therefore changing it is violating the terms of your warranty. But if you change your processor and the next day your LCD gets all messed up, Dell probably won't care about the processor change (or even know about it). -

Dell normally give complete coverage for 1 year. YOu can extend this warranty for more $$ obviously. But yeah complete, service and warranty for 1 year- standard.

Anyone got a link for the terms of the warranty?

its best to buy extended warranty if the cost of the [extra] warranty is not more than 25% of the purchase price
