    Hi ..
got my dell xps 15 two days before ... i need help for the following

1.) I didnt like too many apps running on my OS , I usually keep it very simple .. so tried reinstalling with the OS CD dell gave. now the problem is , I stranded a 12GB worth hard disk space alone and now its saying "disk already contains maximum partition"
    here is the screenshot
    [IMG]

2.) I have moved from a 1444x900 screen to 1080P , and obviously the text are small , i tried changing the DPI , but in many cases the text is hidden due to lack of space in say a button or coloumn . Is there any other way to make it readable . also is there a way to increase to DPI within firefox / chrome alone ? i mean now i am using "Ctrl" + Mouse scroll to increase the text size for each page , can it be made global on all pages ? I just need a 10% increase in size to make it readable

3.)Previous time i installed WEBCAM Central software , it tried , or dont know it was aanother app ( I had no Anti-virus Installed at that time) installed the famous Babylon toolbar , along with someother rootkits and since i was unable to delete the rootkit , i had to reinstall the OS , so did anyone had similar rpoblems ? or where to get the original webcam central app? or is there any alternate to it ? to control the inbuilt webcam?

4.)It says 2:30Hrs backup time when on high performnace mode on battery
    3:30 hours for balanced
    4:30 hours for battery
is this normal or values are low ?

5.) how to disable the touchpad ? I use Logitech M505 , and I dont use touchpad at all... so is there a way to disable ? previously there was a option in quickset to disable it .. but in new quick set there is no such option ....

***WARNING, THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING...INCLUDING A RECOVERY PARTITION***
If you have the actual 'Dell Windows 7 Disc' you need to reinstall again. This time, in the windows setup, delete all partitions from the Windows setup. Then load Windows onto a fresh, wide open, unallocated 500GB Drive.

The dell quickset program messes up DPI scaling.

You should have a CD by itself that contains the webcam central disc.

Your battery life is fine, your powering a massive GPU that is a battery HOOOOGGGG.

Control Panel>Mouse> Dell Touchpad Tab> Click the touchpad picture>Device Select>Touchpad Disable Radio Button.

not again ..the thing is there is already a DELL OEM reserved space of 39 MB as you can see , can i delete it ?
coz already i reinstalled the OS twice now ..
is there any other option to take back that 12GB ? i can contend with 2 partitions , one OS and another for storage- non OS , apart from the OS reseved 100 MB

quickset has DPI scaling ? I dont understand ...

ya tried installing with that only last time and ended up reinstalling the whole OS . dont want to risk again , even though i doubt there is any trojan / rootkit placed in it... , but i think it tried to install babylon toolbar - not sure though
is there any online direct link to download it ?
    thanks .... :D

there is no dell touchpad option , can it be due to that i didnt install the touchpad drivers ? i wanted ti minimize extra apps running ... thats why i installed very few drivers ...
