I've been looking for smaller used laptop that I can take with me when I go camping etc. and to use with Photoshop's CS6. I'm a wildlife/nature/mountain photographer and the WA Forest Service buys a lot of my pictures every year. This is an example what they use it for, large photo with Mt Adams & boats (my name under the photo)

Well I took a chance on eBay and got a MINT and I mean like new Dell XPS 13 L322X with these specs:
    Processor 1.9GHz Intel Core i7-3537U
    Memory 8GB, 1,600MHz DDR3
    Hard drive 256GB SSD
    Chipset Intel QS67
    Graphics Intel HD4000
13.3 inch LED Backlit Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)
    Operating system Windows 8
    Dimensions (WD) 12.4x8.1 inches
    Height 0.24-0.71 inch
Weight with AC adapter 3.6 pounds

I read several reviews and most said this was the best Dell laptop made in 2012-13.
I think $325 is a heck of lot better than spending the $1,500 it cost then. Now the top ones cost in excess of $1,800.

This is what the seller on eBay told me:
I paid $1500 when I bought it July 29, 2013. I use Less than 10 times. Still like new.
I don't use this laptop for myself. The screen too small for me. I bought the bigger
laptop after I use this one a few times.
OK. I take your offer of $325. Free shipping.

He was NOT kidding, I could not find any smudges, scratches or flaws anywhere, top bottom or in screen & keyboard area. Like it just came from Dell. After having it for a couple days running it through all kinds of test, I'm an extremely happy camper.

Yeah, I know, I got lazy and shot the pics with my cellphone.
I'll get better ones with my good camera gear next week.

Great device. Sounds like you got a great deal. As a photorgrapher / blogger / etc myself, I picked up a inspiron 5000 13" 2 in 1 to use. NOPE, it's not the fastest car on the block, but since updating to 16gb of ram and a 2 tb SSHD, it's fast enough for me and does everything I need in a lightweight package. That XPS looks BRAND NEW! It will provide you YEARS of reliable service im sure. I am still using computers from 2007 with windows 10 on them and they run fine. Congrats!

I would say it's a simple as buying the licence and downloading from MS. Thats all I did with my acer 7720.

I didn't have to pay for Windows 10 when I upgraded from Windows on my 2013 Samsung ATIV Book 6 NP680Z5E-X01US last year. I forgot how I swung that... I think I just downloaded and ran it. I recall doing via WiFi did NOT work... tried it several times, no dice, then took it downstairs and hooked up ethernet and it installed fine then.

Maybe they still allow upgrades for free then...give it a shot. If not, the 120 bucks or so it is for the licence is well worth it!

The boot time is a fast 6 seconds!
Timed it several times, 6 seconds every time. Probably because I don't have anything on the SSD yet.

NO. goto a real store. Most of those things on ebay are just ripped and pirated copies. Walmart even has windows 10 licences there. Stay away from the online stuff, unless you goto Microsoft directly, or some trusted source.
