Well I ended up slapping another copy of win 7 on my laptop as I got sick of waiting.
My Dell Win 7 DVD came today. It also includes the COA to put at the bottom next to the Vista one.
Also a neat little bonus was a "Easy Upgrade DVD" which has all the Windows 7 drivers on it. It also updates the X-Fi MB to work with Win 7. I probably won't ever use these as I went ahead and got another copy and spent a couple hours hunting down drivers lol..
Oh another thing.. The Dell Support Center has been officially updated for Win 7, same with the Creative Webcam.
Also on the disc was webcam central, among a few other things.

Same, I just received my Windows 7. I'm excited, because I hated Vista as of now I'm typing this on Windows 7 and it's an excellent OS.

Quick question: can you verify if these applications are included:
1) FastAccess Facial Recognition
2) Dell DataSafe Local (NOT Online)
3) Roxio or replacement DVD burning software
Thanks,

Keep in mind Roxio isn't something Dell gives the reinstall DVD for, I have one, but I had to pretty much beg to get it as well as the X-Fi MB reinstall CD. It's like pulling teeth.
If your running Vista, slap the Dell driver "easy upgrade DVD" in the drive, it will do it's thing updating ALL your stuff, including X-Fi MB" then put the OS DVD let it do it's thing, then you put the easy upgrade dvd back in let it do it's thing again. Reboot and you'll end up with Win7 and all your programs updated to work with Win 7 and nothing lost.
I however decided to do a clean install. So it's a bit more difficult to get drivers and your software back. But I did get it all back.
I had to talk to dell to get a download for webcam central and a couple other things. If you check your online software locker you can redownload Fast Access, PowerDVD, and Dell Video chat from that as well.
It sucks that Dell makes you jump through hoops to get the stuff you bought.. But if you keep asking you'll eventually get it like I did. Either the CD's for the stuff you ordered, in my case roxio and x-fimb or they will give you download links to temporary files via dell chat. Then just save the software to a DVD incase you need it again. -
I'm a little confused about your first post and the last one. The X-Fi software for Windows 7 is included with the Windows 7 upgrade or just upgrades it so you can upgrade to 7? I will also do a clean install so will I need to beg Dell for the disc or can I use what comes with the Windows 7 upgrade DVD? Thanks.

I just received an email from Dell yesterday apologizing for the long wait. Their answer was that due to overwhelming response to the Win7 upgrade program, they have a massive backlog of orders but are endeavouring to fill them as soon as possible. This all came AFTER I got a confirmation of shipment, which should arrive in the next couple of days, since I live in AZ and it's shipping out of CA.
Funny but when I saw the initial poster state that they recieved a new Win7 sticker, I got all happy...i didn't care to have that damned Vista sticker on my laptop if I had 7 now. lol -
My 1340 came with the Roxio CD, although this was about 2 months before 7 came out, I don't know if it's been updated or what not. As for the Windows 7 disk, I can upload some stuff for people when mine comes in, should be any day now hopefully.
