So I got my system in the mail after about 2 weeks of waiting. I was very much excited to get it. But then as I took it out of the courier box, I was kinda disappointed that the black box the system comes in was a bit battered. I thought that this all right, it's just the box.

So I open the black box. However, the sleeve the laptop is in had some dirt on it. I take out the laptop and the screen had some dirt/dust too (just slight and no fingerprints). With this in mind, I thought oh ok ... maybe that's normal due to the custom build process. Can anyone support this? Has this been the case with the shipment of your XPS 16?

As for the system, I've been fiddling with it for a couple of days now and it is fast. However (here's another issues that just happened today), I had my screen go blank white and black continuosly on me while watching an online flash video. I had to manually reset Does anyone know if this is a hardware or driver issue? The driver issue I have right now is 8.692.1.0 (is this the latest?)

I thought that the issue might be because I did not reboot after installing the driver for the GPU. So now I'm waiting to see if the blank white and black screen happens again.

Should I be concerened about these "issues" and maybe possibly go ask for a replacement?

It's a common issue among multiple Dell laptops and has been fixed (the sticky below may not be exactly for you but the fix below does work).

    http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19322800.aspx

Install Catalyst 10.3 (under Video section) from Dell driver page (8.692.1.0 not the latest)
    Install Flash 10.1 beta

Indeed, I had the extreme system slowdown/lockup when watching full screen flash videos as well. Installing the latest video drivers from Dell and the Flash 10.1 beta seems to have fixed the problem for me.

So the flash video issue has been fixed I think. I haven't had any freezing or the black and white screen flickers.

But I have one minor issue now: sometimes when I hibernate and turn it back on from hibernate, the laptop starts up but then goes to sleep right after. I'm not sure why it does this. I usually close the screen down and turn off my power bar when it is hibernating. Could this be the problem?
