So I just got my M1330 and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Build quality is about 8/10 but there is one thing I've noticed but I'm not sure if its supposed to be there. There is a slight dent on the left speaker grille. I first thought it was supposed to curve inwards a little but the right grille doesn't do this....Running my finger along it you can feel a "dip". Should I bother to ask for a replacement? Everything else seems fine. No wobble, whine or curved keyboard. The lid does show teeth a bit but its minor. :confused2:

Congratulations, you're made it! I can't wait for the 20 or so days until (hopefully) I will be able to make a thread like this minus the problems...

Also, anyone know or have this on their m1330?!? The black wire can be seen when you take the battery out.

I just removed my battery for the first time and I do not see that wire.

It is an antenna wire. It should not be there exactly but it shouldt hurt anything. I would call Dell and make sure though. They may want to see it.

I doubt the speaker is meant to have a dent in it if the other side doesn't... it's cosmetic so Dell might not want to fix it, but if it's on a user serviceable part they might send you one you can swap out yourself... worth asking.

That wire is the speaker wire (I have taken apart my 1330 and confirmed what it is, just to let you know)....

Congrats! I really would love an m1330, but the m1530 looks promising. GPU power isn't a huge factor, I just don't know which screen size I'd rather have.

I have a 15.4" now, and I'd like something smaller, but with the m1530...I have no idea now.

It looks identical to the wires used for the broadband wireless card
