Purchased a 1330 about 3 months ago and was happy to discover that it did have any of the common build quality issues that many people have noticed.

Unfortunately, the new 1530 (256 nVidia, 4GB, T8300) that I just received is suffering from the keyboard bulge, random plastic parts not being flush, and a small indentation in the aluminum hand rest. The left mouse pad button is sometimes unresponsive, even the centrino stickers that they put there are crooked!

It's pretty frustrating that it's always a crap shot with these systems. It also seems to run a little slower than my 1330... I didn't think I would notice such a difference between the 8300 and 9300, but maybe I just haven't given it enough time for super fetch to kick in.

EDIT: The power brick also doesn't have the hexagonal connector so it easily unplugs.

For the small indentation in the palm rest - if you look underneath you will probably find a screw has been ovetightened - just back it off a little. I had my whole palmrest replaced only to discover that it was not the palm rest just the screw.
