    I don't know why, but I can't hibernate my M1530 anymore.

The button just doesn't appear in the shutdown menu, and FN-F1 doesn't work either.

I didn't disable it, what can I do?

Start > type "run" > type "cmd" to open command line > type "powercfg -h on"

Anyway you can reformat? It might not be the prettiest way, but it should set everything in Windows to default.

Turn on the hidden files/folders option and check to see if you have the hiber.sys file in your C:\ directory.

    after you do this
Start > type "run" > type "cmd" to open command line > type "powercfg -h on"

go to power options in vista chose your plan>>advanced power setting>>power button and lid>>start menu power button>> and change them to hibernate
then you can hibernate by clicking the start menu power button.
