Hi Guys,
I am Useing Dell XPS M1530 with WD 3200BEVT-75ZCT2(320 GB Hard Drive)
Yesterday I formatted my Hard Disk and I install Windows Vista Ultimate(then Later patch it to SP-1) after formatting ,I noticed that my hard disk light blink twice in every 1 sec that slightly increase my HDD temp. when I get a look in Resource Monitor I noticed that in C:\some file are used to be written
C:\System Volume Information
C:\pagefile.sys
C:\$Log File(NTFS Volume log)
C:\Users\{User Name}\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat
C:\Users\{User Name}\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat.LOG1
after that I stop Automatic restore points in System Properties=> System Protection and untick all Drive then I get rid from C:\System Volume Information
In under Advance System Setting =>Performance=> Setting=>Advance=>Virtul Memory => Change=> Untick Automatically manage paging file size for all drive =>tick no paging file => Set then I get gid from C:\pagefile.sys(that is Approx 3GB in size)
but after that
C:\$Log File(NTFS Volume log)
C:\Users\{User Name}\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat
C:\Users\{User Name}\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat.LOG1
are still working I didn't face this problem before formatting
I was useing the same Windows Vista Ultimate SP-1 before formatting
help me guys I also Use Dual Boot With Ubuntu 8.10

There is always indexing going on on the background. Let it be. You cannot stop all I/O operations between the OS and the hard drive.

I wish there weren't - how can the HD sleep if it's being pinged so regularly?

Do you have any idea that how long does it take because i use to download files from my Laptop and runs all day and night when i see the HDD temp increase at 38 C- 57 C(in 48 hours). Before formatting every thing was fine I wish that every thing will be normal very soon.
HDD Light blink in every 1 sec when I am not useing the system
