ok this sounds kind of stupid but I am having trouble finding where all of my HDD space went. My HDD says I have 188 out of 451GB. I can account for most of it and I calculate I should have 100GB more. My program files(x86) properties is 63.1GB, program files= 9.32GB, Documents = 23.5, music = 9.53. photos and vids are under a gig. Autodesk = 26.4GB. Windows = 23.2GB . I can't find where the rest went. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and I defraged yesturday and no help.

    Thanks

Chunks of it go to System Restore, you would have to Show All Hidden Files/Folders and also Unhide protected operating system files to see where it all goes to.

Ok, I had it show me all folders including hidden and I can account for 215GB even when clicking the C:/ drive and then highlighting everything in there and clicking properties to see how much space is being used. It does not add up. Where would the system be storing all the restore files? Could it be a virus?
