Hi I noticed that my XPS has no DVI output so I got an HDMI cable and it looks great, however the speed of the video is definitely slower than if I use VGA or even the HDMI cable into a monitor with a DVI adapter.

Just wondering if this would be normal ?

Is the resolution the same? If you're running the HDMI at 1200*1600 and the VGA @ 1024*768, then there would be a significant difference. Otherwise, there should be no discernible difference

Same res, and it runs about 10-15 fps slower, I will test it out some more.

I would try it later on

I know it sounds like it has nothing to do with it...but that new patch is wreaking havoc in WoW...

Just give it some time to see if they fix their stuff...if you STILL have a problem...then try to fix it..

but it makes no sense cuz HDMI cables are supposed to handle a lot more speed and what not.

unless it forces the computer to work harder..............

Im having problem with warcraft 3 as well... but is just some times... i believe its because of the overheat on my GPU

try to have a look on the temperature just to be sure about it

fyi i have this problem mainly playing DOTA, i dunno why but on other maps seems not be that graphical intense.

    all the best
