    HHD clicks when cold upon startup (l502x)

    The 1TB Sata samsung HDD is getting worse. It will click repeatedly upon startup or wake up from standby. It started a few months ago and only did it when I left my laptop overnight in mar car in sub freezing weather. Now if it is only 50 degrees it does it too.

    Is there a cure or do I need a new one? It runs fine when I place the laptop on a heater for a few minutes.

    I am running dual boot Win 7 and LMDE 64 bit.
