I've got XP SP2 running just fine on my XPS M1530, but when I leave it powered up overnight now, in the morning I see this on the screen:
"Internal Hard Disk Drive not found. To resolve, reset the drive. No bootable devices found." If I reboot from that screen it goes to the same message. If I power down and restart, it boots up just fine.

    Any ideas here?

That seems too easy! :) I'll give it a go and see if I get the same message tomorrow morning. Why would it boot up fine from a cold boot if there's a "seating" problem with the HD?

its' the connection between ur HD and your Computer. If you ask Dell, however, they'll tell you that it's your AHCi controller, don't believe them.
