I've got them plugged in the 3 jacks on the front. Front, Centre and Rear.

When I go to Control Panel and Sound, it has them set up correctly. When I test each speaker I can hear each one individually properly. But when I play a video that has surround sound, it only plays properly out of the front and it makes the centre and rear just play the same as the front but really.

I think it is because the Sigma Tel driver is absolutely rubbish. Anybody know of any better ones or how to sort it out?

It works properly if you configure it to 5.1.
Right click the speaker icon (bottom right). Select playback devices.
Right click the speakers/headphones and select config. There should be a option for 5.1 follow the setup to have proper 5.1

Note: you might need to download the latest driver off dell (although the installation is rough).
