Title says it all really. I know that some users were reporting mild to extreme overheating on this system... I was wondering whether Dell had addressed the issue and whether new models were less likely to suffer. This is the only thing making me hold back from buying.

    What XPS notebook, specifically?

A lot of heating issues that I've read about are directly attributed to the nVidia graphics cards. If you don't game, get the Intel GPU and you should be fine.
