    Hi,

I just received my XPS 1530 and after a thorough inspection, everything seemed ok. But then I removed the battery and I found this little circle that looks like a watch battery the size of a penny and it looks it either melted, was hammered in to fit the hole and it is all discolored. Not sure what it is and if it should look like that.

I attached a pic. Does yours look like that?

So what is it? Should I call dell to replace it. Ireally don't want to go to the hassle of sending everything back.

I have one of those, but it is not circular, more of a long oval. It has the same glued/heated look. It is just some sort of plastic weld or heat-seal or something.

There is nothing wrong, no reason to send it back.
