I was planning on waiting until September to buy a new laptop for school, but I've been all over the Dell Outlet and found the following deal:

    System Price: $1139
Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
    4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz (2 DIMMs)
320 GB Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
512MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3670
    Blu-ray Disc Combo (DVD+/-RW + BD-ROM)
    Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 (3MB cache/2.53GHz/1066Mhz FSB)
    Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module
Intel WiFi Link 5100 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card
    6 Cell Primary Battery
16 inch Edge-to-Edge FullHD Widescreen RGBLED LCD (1920x1080)

I also have a 15% off coupon for the outlet so the total with sales tax will be $1025. Do you think that this deal is too good to pass up since it has what I want for about 40% off the price of a new one? I don't play a lot of game so as nice as it would be to have the 4670 it's not really necessary for what I will use the laptop for (internet, movies, word processing, video editing, music production). Thanks for any advice and opinions in advance.

you know the new ones come with the ati 4XXX series. this means, more powerful and better performance. gpu is a spec to consider if you are a video editor as the more powerful the gpu, the quicker your laptop will be done with video processing. i suggest you wait till august or september before you buy your laptop because prices would have fallen by then and may be able to get a better config for cheaper.
