    Hey guys,

    I want to order a Dell XPS M1530. Though I live in Canada and the offers that the states get is making me really sad. I can get a really good laptop with 9 cell battery, 120 GB SSD, 2.6 Ghz proccessor, and Blue-Ray disc with a coupon for just $1900 USD!

    Anyways, I just wanted to ask 2 things:

    • What is the best discount that I can get for this laptop such as a coupon or deal from dell.ca at this time?

    • Is a 2.5 Ghz processor to much power for a 8600M GT?

    You can find dell deals on redflagdeals.ca

    The upgrade to T9300 from T8100 is not going to give you a huge performance boost but will be slightly better.

    I can config a 1530 for $1600 CDN w/aT9300, 8600M GT, 320GB HDD, 3GB Ram, Vista etc...

    If you wait the new XPS's will coming out in November.

    Yes, a 2.5ghz is a little bit too much for an 8600m gt. if you can get at least a 8800gt, then ur in good hands, otherwise id try pushing the processor down. the cpu would be able to send 50 frames at a given time to the GPU and the GPU can probably only handle 35 at a time for a certain game/task. --just an example, not actual numbers.
