What 16 (40,45,47) model is this?

your replacement has to be 1647 since 1640 does not have i-series processor and 1645 only has quadcore i7s. BTW, why are they giving u an i3? that's ridiculous and I would complain on that...try to get at least an i5 processor.

 

His original cpu was probably low.

 

well, the way I see it...though the processor is average (his/her original processor was probably a T6400)...it is not as hot as i5 or i7. Also, the replacement GPU is 5730 which is great. I suspect this replacement system would handle the overheating and throttling issues better than others.

 

The original one was a: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2MB cache/2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB) I think the new one im receiving is a lil bit better right? I won't complain since im receiving an upgrade from a 2 GB ram to 4 GB ram, a wireless N card, a much better graphics card, from a 120GB HD to a 320GB HD, oh and Windows 7, I had Vista.

the Core i3 is miles better than the T7250, it's definitely an upgrade
