Hy guys.. I feel really a noob..
Ok BAsically all I wanted to do is a OS clean install on my 1730.
I put all my files in an external drive.

Then used killdisk to erase the HD:
I only have one HD so on dos using killdisk I choose to erase everything on the harddrive.

I remember that before that my hd was parted in two (like everyone wh gets his new dell) one with recovery Os and another bigger partition for all the rest.

Now if I am running killdisk in dos well they tell me I only get 183gb of space but I know my hd is of 200gb. What does it mean? I still need to erase the old partition? But if the answer is yes then why killdisk does not see it?

Is it ok then, after erasing, to just boot the lap with OS and perform the clean install? is there somtgh else I need to do before???

    THANKS in advance,
    cheers

Nothing else you need to do just slap in the OS

btw: it will never show the 200gb that your supposed to have...there is some between the way your computer reads space and the way the manufacturers measure it so it sounds like a lot.

---There is a term for that^^ but it's too early and i'm still sleepy---
