Unfortunately, I ended up buying a 720P for my Dell XPS 15 L502X. I realised that later on and contacted Dell, India. After having a horrible experience with Dell regarding upgrading the screen from 720P to1080P FULL HD, I have decided to get the screen upgraded myself. I have done some research on the internet and I found one very reliable source for shipping screen to India.

Dell XPS 15 L502X replacement Laptop LCD Screen from $55.99 Brand-new screens (never used).

On the above website there are two options? Glossy and Matte? Which one of the two would be better? I mainly watch HD movies, do internet browsing and fond of photo editing (only minor), little bit of gaming.

Before I order the FULL HD screen what items do I need to know specifically in terms of configuration about my laptop? As I have a 720P will different connectors/ribbon cables have to be installed for 1080P or the deal will be like simply remove 720p and install 1080p? Does the current 720p also has connectors towards the left (like in case of 1080p) and with 40pins?

If you have better suggestions on buying or upgrading. Kindly let me know. Please help me out on this as the 720p has destroyed my entire laptop purchase.

    Thank you!

@ $55.99 it is prolly a cheap replacement.
Yes, for the 1080p screen you need the FHD cable, Dell P/N V73D3.
Both screens have 40-pin connector, bottom left side as you look from the back. Only the cables are different... other than that it's only a matter of replacing the screen + cable, no big deal really, just follow the instructions on the forum.
