I bought a M1530 last month with a 1440X900 screen. It was beautiful, but unfortunately, it met the wrong end of someone's behind over Memorial Day Weekend.
Anyways, I decided to replace the screen and proceeded to order the LG part number from ebay. Since I was ordering the part and after reading a few reviews here, I thought that would go ahead and upgrade the screen to WSXGA+ and ordered part number LP154WE2(TL)(B2).
When I got it, I noticed that it didn't come with an inverter. So pulled the bezel with the LG inverter from the old screen, and carefully placed it on the new screen. However, when I went to start up the monitor, nothing happened. The backlight works, but there is nothing showing on the screen. Are there any settings in the bios that I need to change before I swap out the screens. (the old screen still works, just that there is a crack down the middle).
I've also tried uninstalling the video driver in windows, but I can't even get the bios page to show up. I'm running Bios rev 08 if that helps. Please if anyone can shed some light on this, it would be great.
Thanks!
edit: So I was messing around some more and noticed something on the back. My lcd sticker says "LP154WE2(TL)(B2) Compatible" However, it's covering up an old part number that says "LP154WE2(TL)(A3)". Also on the top of the LCD where the data cable connects, the PCB says "LP154WE2(TL)(A1)". So I've got three different part numbers, but I'm not sure if that matters. Any extra help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
