I have XPS M1730 with Intel 4965 wifi card. It keeps me disconnecting from wifi every 2-3 minutes and then I have to reconnect it again.
So plz help me out with this.
Thanks

Moved to Dell XPS forum... if you'd like it in the "Networking and Wireless" forum, just report your thread and we'll take care of it.

Try and reinstall your wifi driver. Also install any necessary windows updates and see if that helps.

Oh! I found out one more thing. Whenever I use DAP and download files,it disconnects but when I just surf the internet then it stays quiet.
Anyone?? -
Does the same thing happen if you use your laptop at another location with a different wifi connection?

Ya its the same.
Dun know why it disconnects me if I download files? -
Has it always behaved this way or is it something new?

Don't use DAP. If it only happens when DAP is on it's probably the program's fault. Those accelerators are never stable

Not sure about this, but could it be your modem/router giving up.
Happen to my 5 month old billion modem/router where my network kept dropping especially when I'm downloading at high speeds through usenet. thought it was my wireless card at first then when I got a new modem/router the problem went away..
can't be sure it would be the same for you, but worth a shot to check it out
EDIT: sorry just read the other posts and you get the same problem from connecting to other modem/routers.
