First of all I would like to thank the people that helped me with the AHCI driver for my reinstallation, and the people that made the bloatware removal guide, I got rid of 30 processes(75 to 45!) after my clean reinstallation. However now I have a couple more questions/problems.
Now on to my problem. So for my recently purchased XPS M1530 I ordered the built in bluetooth, and the wireless keyboard and mouse setup. I installed the bluetooth driver that came with the keyboard and mouse, and they worked. However once I shut down my laptop and booted up, the mouse and keyboard would not respond, I went to the bluetooth menu that showes the bluetooth devices, and the mouse wasn't even on there anymore. The keyboard was, but the only way I could get them to work was to re-add them all over again. Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I reinstall the drivers and try again from scratch or what?
I also have a concern with my harddrive. I have 160gb total storage, and I'm aware that the computer takes some for itself, so my C drive started at 145 and I wasn't worried. But now 2 days later I have already used up 8-21 gb on my drive, and I cant fathom to what it is. The only thing I have done is install drivers, 3dmark06/webcam/firefox/AVG/Ad-aware/startup inspector for windows, and a couple small things. I have not installed any one thing that is over 1 gig, and if I add up all the small things it goes to 4-5 gigs, no where near what my laptop claims what is used up, does anyone have experience with this? I have not installed any games. I first used IE, but switched to Firefox pretty quickly after the reinstalation.
Now a question. What are the recommended free virus protection/scanning/spywear programs out there? I got McAfee free with the laptop, but apparently it's slow and doesn't work to well. Should I use it for free? Right now I have Ad-Aware and AVG installed on my computer
