So I've pretty much made up my mind to by the 1330, but I need a little help.

    1. What's the best way to save with coupons etc? I see there is an educational discount, and I've seen the 10% coupon as well. Simply combine those two for the best deal? Or are there more savings to be had?

    2. Any features you think are absolute must haves or absolute don't bothers? After seeing enough reviews I've decided the LED screen is a must have, any other input?

Thanks for any help, for what its worth I did do a quick search, especially with the coupons question, but nothing really jumped out as a step-by-step here's how you get the best deal kind of answer.

it all depends on your preference. if you're looking for the best, dell is offering $600 off of a pre-configured "top-of-the-line" m1330. you can also add the 12% student discount ontop of the $600 discount as well as probably the 10% discount. note, the laptop is not completely pre-configured and you can still tweak system.

    10% discount:

you can also go to the bargains forum and search for "m1330" and see what you come up with

for portability, i would suggest the 9-cell battery. be aware that it will stick out the back and cause your notebook to be slightly angled and give it the appearance of being larger than it really is. i think it's worth it for the extra life.

Thanks! Can you link the $600 dollar off laptop configuration? I would like to take a look at it.

Thanks I appreciate it! Do I understand this correctly in that I can select that model, then apply the 12% educational + 10% off of that model? Do the %'s come off the 1399 initially priced (so say 10% = aprox $140) or after I apply one, does it then apply second discount off the lower price? Regardless, thanks!

when i purchased my m1330, it took the 12% student discount off of the initial price before ANY discount. so it would be before the $600 discount as well. best way to find out is to configure your system online with all discounts and then see final price.
