Display : Get aleast 1440x900 LED Screen
System Color : Personal Preference ( But I like Red , Blue and Black )
OS : Vista Home Premium is enough for 99% of the people
(I belong to remaining 1%)
Memory : Stick with 3GB
and Don't buy Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition , its just a software on top of sigmatel codec and AFAIK its buggy
Go for Intel 365AGN Card , remaining stuffs are fine -

Thats a pretty nice system, mines about the same,
the only thing I'd change is possilby get a longer warranty,
and I'd get a 7200rpm drive,
I've the 400gb 5200rpm and being honest I regret I didn't go with a faster one, you do notice a bit of lag when loading programs. -

The 9 cell will be nice for longer battery life however it will make the laptop heavier. If you do a lot of traveling it may not be as portable as an m1330. You may also be able to score a better deal unless your job is paying for it

looks good, but, IMO Intel 4965 wireless card, 7200 rpm hard drive, t9300 cpu
You will appreciate the speed.
Here are the specs for my XPS1530...Comments please!
