I called avermedia and they said the device is limited to 480 reolution on the s video input for copyright reasons. I am using a high def directtv reciver for the tv source. I want use my laptop as a dvr and then out to my high def lcd flat screen. is there a tv tuner i can buy that will have a high def in such as rgb or hdmi and the same out

its compatible with the 1530 as it uses an ExpressCard slot.
i got it cheap as i had a 100 dollar couponm, Dell sent me a new monitor with a stuck pixel, at first they just offered an exchange but then i rejected and they gave me credit.. -
That does not say HD, only says digital.
