For some reason on my XPS studio 15 the hinge is coming off.
Anyone know what I should do?
I don't really want to get dell to fix it because they just replace the ENTIRE LCD screen (This is the 2nd time this has happened to me)
The reason why I don't want to send it in is because I had an invisible shield thing installed on it.

Superglue?
Also, don't you mean SXPS 16? I'm pretty sure they never made a 15 inch version. -
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I don't advise superglue, that can void whatever is left of the warranty. I would bite the bullet and send it back to Dell.

Hm, last time they didn't send me a box.
They basically sent a replacement to a onsite tech and they swapped it out.
>.< darn. I paid liek 25$ for entire body for invisisheild to get it installed. But its most likely going to be half that price since its only top and I can remove invishiled + send it back to them for replacement. I suppose I will wait until the end of my warrenty draws near.
Thanks for your replies.
-edit: and yes I did mean SXPS 16 -

Same here.
I'm on my third screen because of this issue and they've separated again! -
Typical Dell hinge fails easily. Not too long ago I raised this question and it was too early to tell. The reason I didn't get an XPS is because the hinge looked frail like most of the other Dell laptops.
From my experience, the only solution is getting the hinge REPLACED. Don't bother with super glue, it's not strong enough to handle the pivoting stress. You can not fix a weak or failing hinge, it WILL only get worst. It needs to be replaced. -
The mechism works fine. Its just the aesthetic part. -
