well i got my first laptop M1530 on the 28 of july, and i kept it for a while then exchanged it for another XPS M1530 for reasons i wont get into. The first M1530 i got came with the nice black case most of the M1530s come in, now the new exchanged one i just got today didnt come with this case. Now i didnt send back my first laptop yet and i am just turning on the new one (lets hope everything works perfectly). So my question is, do i send back the old one just without the case and keep it, without notifying dell, do i call xps support and explain this (should they have a problem with me keeping it). What do you all think, thank you.

I think they have a list of accessories they sent you initially.. and I don't know if they would want all of it back if you have got a replacement. I would call up XPS premium support, and explain this and tell them politely but firmly that you wanna hold on to the sleeve :) Good luck.

There is no way I would send it back. If they say something tell them the replacement didn't have one.

The moral thing to do would be to send everything back that came the first time.

But as fonduekid said, I don't think they listed the other accessories in the list. That's their loss ;)

So technically, they wouldn't know about it. I'd just keep it as compensation for whatever problems they gave you the first time around.

well, technically some people get part of the accessories when buying from Dell Outlet, meaning those owners bought the laptop and returned them without the accessories?.....

i would call to make sure.... theres a 7-page thread on "XPS Accessories"....
