Boy, am I one happy camper....

I just got my XPS yesterday...

    2.3GHz Core 2 Duo
    2GB DDR2 667Mhz RAM
    100GB 7200RPM HDD
    512MB GeForce Go 7950GTX

Was playing NFS Carbon earlier...besides the game itself being buggy, my goodness was it beautiful.

I'm downloading 3DMark06 right now, to see how it does on that..

I'm trying to figure out how to get the darn LED's to like...pulsate with my music, though...saw some guy in my ship's do that, thought it was kinda spiffy.. :p

Only thing is, I decided to take the leap of faith and go with Vista...Home Premium to be exact..

I was having immediate compatibility issues with Need for Speed Carbon and Phantasy Star Online, but after a little research, I found some easy ways to take care of that.

After visually dumbing it down some, as to not be such a resource hog, I have to say that for my numerous uses of the computer, it's not too terribly bad...at least I can breathe easier knowing that all future games WILL support Vista without a hitch.

Anyone else out there running the same or similar specs, or have any general info they wouldn't mind puttin' out for me?

...this is my first laptop....not that I'm a computer n00b or anything. But being in the Navy...makes lugging a desktop around a bad idea.

You don't have to dumb down Aero, it disables when you play any 3D app (game).
