How Many of you have downgraded to A09 Bios for M1530 ?

would like to know whats the reason ?

Because I am still in A11 and didn't face any issues with it ( so far :p ) , so i could switch back

I just noticed (on bios A11) that when the fan goes to max, it really spins up,I mean REALLY! (sounds like a desktop cooling fan)

Maybe that was another one of the changes in the bios
(i.e utilising full fan speed), It definitely never spun that high when I was A09 and I've stressed the hell out of this laptop when on A09.

Planning on in the next day/2,
It seems to be hitting higher temps with a11 than a09.

Thanks for the reply :D i thinking the same too ... I am keeping a close Temp and this thread ... that will help me to decide :D

I Hate the part that Dell haven't given a single reason why they have pulled the plug on A11 Bios :(

    I may wait a bit.

Anybody know an x86 coding engineer?

I'd love for someone to go to the bios code and see what those new supported processors are supposed to be.

Unfortunately I'm nowhere near that level of coding/engineering yet :(

I haven't had an issue at all with a11. If i downgraded, i would have to take out my 8 gb of ram. my fan does not come on any more than with a09. So mine is here to stay until a newer one is posted. By the way it is still on the ftp site.

And let the laptop stay heated longer???

And to the OP, Vinu, I am with the A11 as well, and to be honest, I have never had *any* issues with this (and neither did I have any issues with the system / BIOS updates as such, even with A09, from the time I got this laptop!!!)

Didn't see the A12 BIOS till now.. will update my system this evening.

66C vs 70C isnt that big a deal isit? better battery life and less noise >.<
my previous laptop's graphics card (geforce 6150) on my HP usually sits ~70-80C and its been fine forever.

Less noise? did you do any measurement for the noise levels?

And on any day, I would prefer not having the system staying at 70-72 for ever!! Its better with the 60-50 range.

I have never been annoyed with the so called "fan noise" in my 1530... In fact, to be honest, its not like what some say it is.. its been pretty quiet and neat. Anyway!!!
