    Could someone direct me to a video or good pictorial on changing out the stock HD on a new Dell Studio XPS 15 for a SSD. I believe it requires removing the palm rest which clearly will require a little instruction and expertise.

    There is no "Studio XPS" after the 1645. Are you talking about the L501X or L502X? The service manuals for the latter two can be found here and here, respectively.
