I guess my biggest question would be do you think you're going to do anything other than maybe watch a 3D movie with this computer kilicool? That gpu is no where near strong enough to drive a 3D game probably not even on low. For a game to be playable in general you have to be at 30+ fps, with 3d because there are actually two pictures being driven that means you'd have to be at 60+ fps to make it playable in 3d, from what I've seen 3d games aren't really enjoyable until 80+fps and I don't know of a single game off hand that supports 3d that this gpu is capable of running at those frame rates. Just be patient or learn to mod the drivers. The 265.90 should be right around the corner.

I installed 256.90 with modified INF and my screen went black. It won't turn on anymore, don't know what went wrong..

I was kind of unhappy with the XPS 15 anyway, gonna send it back and keep my S-XPS 1645.

The windows experience score was 5.9 compared to the 6.7 of my S-XPS 1645.

Ha, your upgrading based on your Windows Experience Index? How silly...

So could you explain (in the requered steps) how you did this?
So which files are downloaded from the website, how the INF is patched and how the drivers are installed?

There are new drivers for the 420 and 435 on Dell's site:

    Release Date: 02/01/2011
    Version: 8.17.12.5951, A03

I haven't installed the driver yet and won't be able to until this evening (UK time)

There are beta drivers on NVidia's site now that require no modifications to install on the XPSes. I didn't get to do much with them to see if they are stable yet though. I will post again after I use them tonight.
