Is this back light supposed to just stay on indefinitely?
I know there is no ambient sensor but should it just stay on?

The only way I can turn mine off is by cycling through the Ctrl+F10 button...

It's been a few months since I got my laptop now so I might be misremembering, but IIRC you can change the brightness of the backlight (including off) from the BIOS menu.

Thanks but why would that have to be done in the BIOS?
Are you telling me the default setting is to just leave the backlight on indefinitely?

Should it turn off when you havent used the keyboard for a couple of minutes or so?
