How could I find a Synaptics touchpad assembly for my M1530 to replace my Alps one?

The M1530 comes with either an Alps touchpad or an Synaptics. Mine ended up coming with an Alps, but I would prefer the Synaptics so that way I could enable 2-finger scrolling. I can find the assembly pieces on eBay and other places with part number XR215. Are there 2 separate part number or is it just pot luck as to which you will get?
