Hello everyone, I got a little problem here. On the UPEK Fingerprint Suite, I originally chose to save my fingerprints to the biometric sensor device instead of the hard drive option. It's a long story, but I think the data on the sensor is a bit messed up and is screwing up the application.

For instance I can not open the 'Fingerprint Storage Inspector' under 'Settings'. It gives me an error message saying something about how username/domain is wrong. Another thing is if I select 'Fingerprint + Windows Password' in Multifactor authentication during the enrollment of fingerprints. Then when I enter my windows user password after swiping my finger, it doesn't work and tells me the user/password is wrong. Which it isn't.

Thus, I think it has something to do with the info stored on the sensor device. I installed and reinstalled the program a few times, and I think that my past data on the sensor is interfering with my usage now. When I uninstall, there's a little note saying how I must refer to documentation for instructions on removing sensor data. However, I've looked through the manuals and I can't find anything.

If anyone can shed any light on this, it'd be great. Thank you!

i'm afraid b/c of the fishy nature of your request......(could be illicit....and others could definitely use this info for bad stuff)......i'm pretty sure no one will (be able to) help you here today.

you are best off trying to contact the vendor of the software.....or getting Microsoft to help you out with your vista problems

    i give you 5 minutes

Uhh.. what? How is it fishy? Yeah, I plan to give UPEK an email but I was just wondering if anyone here could help cause I've seen posts here about the Fingerprint Suite program.

basically.....you are telling us that b/c of some "problem with your software" you need to remove the "messed up" password protection that is currently stored on your computer and preventing you from using it.

Now lets say there is some way to do this.....and someone posts it.....in a similar situation....a would be hacker could get into someone else's laptop......see what I mean

i'm not necessarily doubting you but on NBR there really is 0 tolerance for anything that even could be illicit

    no hard feelings
