Hey guys I know many of you are pretty hardcore gamers, so I just wanted to know how the games listed below perform (settings that these games are playable at) with ATI 4670:
- GTA Episodes from Liberty City
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Splinter Cell: Conviction
- Starcraft 2
Note: I am not asking for the performance when it throttles.
-
Splinter Cell: Convictions runs well enough when you scale the rez back to 720P 1080 was a bit lackluster. I can't comment on the other 2 games. -
SC2 beta: 1920x1080, shaders on medium, most other settings on max, 60 fps average (benchmark demo battles can cause drops down to anything like 20). Shaders on high, around 30fps. Obviously nobody actually has a retail copy of Starcraft 2 yet, and it may improve when the game comes out.
-
The Sims 3: 1920x1080, on medium. Max setting is ok (sometime you will see some lag)
-
Not sure about the new GTA: Liberty City, but GTA4 performed really quite poorly...can only really be played on medium-low settings.
-
im currently downloading starcraft 2 beta. ill return back here for the result.
-
GTAIV works well on high to medium settings. Dirt 2 runs well and many others. It is not too bad of a gaming machine.

ya after endless long download, i run the game and read the little note on the side.

I have just bought Dell Studio XPS 1645 / i7 Q720 1.60Ghz / 4 gb ddr3 / ATI RADEON HD 4670 - 1Gb / 500 gb 5200 rpm. Do you guys know why GTA IV runs so poorly here. Even with the lowest settings (800x600) all details on minimum and stuff, graphic card settings on minimum. It runs only 20 fps or above and lags so much at some moments. Do I need some kind of drivers or where are the problems? Thanks.

GTA IV wasnt made for computer. go google it, ull see endless topic regarding the GTA PC version mess up.
How do these games perform in Studio XPS 16 with ATI 4670?
