Hey guys. Looking at an XPS16 but I was wondering if I could get a few opinions about the screen quality/resolution.

    Thanks.

The XPS16 screens are great, high quality screens, some of best ones on laptops nowadays. I do have the RGBLED which Dell don't sell anymore (depending on your region, I think). It is unlike any other screen I've used before, in terms of vibrancy, brightness, sharpness, etc. However the WLED screens (1600x900 & 1920x1080) that Dell now sell are supposedly really good as well. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong in the screen department on these laptops.

I have the WLED 1920x1080 screen. The screen quality seems very good- IMHO better than Sony, Lenovo, Apple, ect.

As far as the resolutions themselves go, they really don't go higher than 1920x1080 in laptop screens, even in larger 17+ inch screen laptops. 1920x1080 is also the same resolution of the highest quality HD/Blu-ray content available today, so it will look great on the screen.

Yes the wled screen kicks butt on this laptop. It's a little 'blue' in color from the factory but its easily adjusted. Best monitor i have out of three.

^^That on what E.D.U said on the RGBLED. Have it on my 1647...it's remarkably awesome, vibrant...etc. When, I first started using it my eyes took a bit to get used to the brilliancy of the colors & sharpness. A friend has the WLED, on theirs and I wouldn't mind having that nonetheless. : )

I have said a lot of bad stuff about the XPS but the screen is really good. I have the WLED screen and the quality is amazing for laptop stantards
