    How long for Dell Outlet to ship XPS laptops?

    For those of you who bought a XPS laptop from the outlet, how long does it take for them to ship/ for you to receive it?

    Anything from the outlet I buy usually goes out the same day if you order in the morning.

    That's good to hear. I ordered mine over the weekend so I guess it should ship today.

    ...lol with this laptop purchase I hoped to try something besides dell but looks like I'm going back to it again.

    Also, do outlet items usually ship with OS and drivers disk?

    And what's the physical condition on an outlet item? Do you guys ever get any major scratches or anything? Do they look almost brand new?

    Yup just got an additional laptop from the outlet last week. I ordered Sunday and it was delivered on Thursday. It had everything that my new model did except the power cord was in a used bag. BTW it looked brand new...

    8 days - which Dell counts as part of your 21 day return period. Keep that in mind. Came with (M1530) disks and all, but none of the 'goodies' a new one does. No disk case or anything like that.

    After 3 tech visits, 2 new keyboards, new motherboard, new touchstip and fingerprint reader and palmrest, plus a new harddrive - I have a M1530!

    For those who got the scratch and dent do yuou know what Media direct version you got with the XPS?

    I just odered a M1330 from the outlet and it shows Media direct 3.3 that tells me the laptop is at least 1 year old as Media direct was introduced in early 2008. I am already fretting ordering this and how ever nice condition it is if it is over a year old I will have to send it back.

    What do you guys think? Are the outlet laptops build within a couple of months?

    I guess that is understandable.. Maybe you could send it back and then order one over the phone next time.. they can check the service tag and find out when the laptop was built?.. not sure if they WILL do that though..

    I ordered mine last Thursday 4/16/09 at 12:04PM PST, with free next day air, I received it on Friday at 10:40AM or so..

    If you live in Florida and get an extended warranty, there's something with the state of FL that they have to manually update, so if you order online it takes a day or two longer.

    I placed an order online online on the 28th, got the conf today (29th) and estimated delivery date is 05/06, which is 6 business days from ordering.

    However, if you call into the outlet, the rep helped me find a system I wanted, got the extended warranty, and it was shipped next day.

    i ordered one yesterday around 6 pm, but the EDD isn't for 8 days! Hopefully it changes to match you guys that got it in one day.
