    UPDATE:

OK, now that I've had this battery over a month, here is how long it last the way I use it.
I had 12 online browser pages open, was using Adobe Photoshop CS6 the whole time reworking/resizing photos and had my webpage CoffeeCup HTML Editor program open puting each photo I resized in my website and uploading that and my photos using Core FTP LE uploading software. Pretty heavy usage as I was going full bore as fast as I could. This laptop was zipping along. Battery lasted just four minutes short of 4 hours. Not bad at all. Before with the same usage, it shut down an average of 1 hour 15 minutes, so I always had to have it plugged in. I still work plugged in, but wanted to see how long this new battery would last with what I use it most for.

I'm going to order another one just to have an extra. How is the proper way to store a new battery until needed?

I don't think thats necessary. It would have be on a heater or something in order for the heat to affect it that much. You will cook before your battery. H ah ha..

Okay... the battery seem to gotten better somehow? Now when I use my laptop while watching TV with my wife using what I listed above, I'm getting right at five hours or a tad over / under it. Maybe it because I'm not using it every second while watching TV?
Anyways, pretty happy with the battery life.

Perfect. Me too. My son's acer and my dell both are rocking with them. I now have to source one for my good ole' 17" behemoth acer 7720. the laptop that never dies. It's been with me since I bought it in 2007 brand new. It still rocks to this day. I am typing on it now running 1909 update with zero lag or any issues what so ever. To think of ALL of the money I wasted on other computers. Should have just kept updating this one. I am going to try to install Mobile Connect on it, and then move on with other upgrades.

Just checked then, I am at 80 percent battery life and sitting on 6h 55m of battery life remaining. Thats killer! worth every penny! Unfortunately, they do not have one for my acer 7720

Dang! Much better than mine, but I'm happy getting 5+ hours consistently when I couldn't even get two hours before. Got 5.6 hours the other night. Of course that is with pretty heavy use, Adobe CS6 editing, Cute HTML coding, FTP photos uploading to website, 15 online pages open, email etc and more.

BTW, which Dell is that battery of yours in?

Totally. anything 5hrs or better you have a productive machine. There are not many times you are away from a charging port for 5 hrs at a time. I have inverters in my vehicles, etc.

Pleased to find out that not only my laptop lasts for over five hours unplugged, I can get three more hours with my Dell Power Bank Plus! That's 8 hours unplugged! I'm a happy camper!

Hmmmm I am going to be doing more remote work now since I picked up some new photography, blogging and writing gigs. The extra few hours will be welcome. I may have to see about one of those power banks. Does it just plug into the charging port?

Yes it plugs into your charging port. To charge the power bank you just plug your Dell charger into it. Simple.

Photography huh? I'm almost done with revamping my twenty year old photography website, still have 2-3 more galleries to add before I'm done, but check it out if you have time:

Well after having this battery since January 2020 and getting consistent 4-5 hours every day on it, (yes I use it every day unplugged) it started acting up. At first I thought the laptop was going bad as it would suddenly shut down, I'd turn it back on, same thing after a minute or so, finally on third attempt, a blue screen came on while booting giving me two choices on windows 10 booting up, factory reset (something like that) or shut down... nothing else. So I choose "shut down" and it worked for the rest of the night. This has happen three nights in row before DUH, I discovered it didn't do it while plugged in. So it looks like battery is going bad? If this keeps up, I have a backup brand new battery that I can put in and see if that solves it. Anybody else have this happen?

NOTE: The next time this happens and the blue screen shows up, I'll take a picture of it.

Knock on wood, my battery has been perfect. I still get 7 to 8 hrs of screen time on it no matter what I am doing on my notebook.

Well, I looked up my battery order from zthy-tech on Amazon in January 22, 2020
    +Dell_XPS_L322x_Battery1.jpg

and it's no longer sold on Amazon! So I go to his website and he has it there for twice as much now!
    http://www.zthy-tech.com/index.php?...product_id=2807&search=Dell+XPS+L322x+battery

That's a big jump in price... I'm going to try email them and see if I can get it for the same price I paid.

    UPDATE:
Amazon has a LOT of venders for this battery but how do you tell which ones are good???
    https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Dell+Y9N00+Notebook+Battery&ref=nb_sb_noss

If I don't hear back from zthy-tech, I'll order this one... has good reviews

IMO, I would say ALL of them are from the same place. I would look at GreenCell batteries too if they have your model, they are very good batteries as well.

Explain? Are talking about putting older batteries like my failing one in the freezer and it made them better? Or is it just for storing?

AFAIAC, it's an urban myth. Batteries will not magically regain capacity if you freeze them. No need to store them in the freezer either.

I go by empirical evidence - not by Snopes or such. The electrochemical process of aging is rather complex, and I have no explanation for this, but in my case it worked. May not work for you.

Electric shock can also bring a battery from the dead, but this is for the most terminal stages, when the BMS doesn't detect the cells any longer.

Yeah. hasn't worked for anyone I know who tried it. That's why I said urban myth. No, of course not snopes etc. Myths have been around LONG before the interweb.

It's not hearsay, it's first hand experience since I was present when they were "trying it". I told them it wouldn't work. and I was correct.

Present for 72 hours? It worked for my old M4700 battery: it went up to 4 hours from 1hr 20ish min 2 years ago and still holding it.
Was just trying to help. No need to spread the primitive thread.

This is no mere urban legend or myth. Different types of batteries have different ways of revival or lifespan improvement from temporary storage in the freezer. NiCad, NiMH, or Li-ion determines which method is appropriate and why (ie scientifically sound, based on chemical fact).

NiCad battery can be have enhanced capacity/perf after discharge then frozen in freezer, in a different way and for different reason than lithium ion. NiCad/MH as well suffers from depression/need for reset memory, unlike Li-on which operates on wholly separate principles.

Li-on battery can be successfully revived after clipped to healthy battery, charged, discharged by heavy load, placed in freezer, removed and left at room temp, then charged.

On average, a laptop battery lasts about 1,000 charge cycles or between 2-4 years of typical use...
I just got a mint Dell XPS 13 9360 Intel Core i7-7660U 2.5GHz 16GB RAM 512GB SSD QHD+ Touch laptop off eBay and thinking of putting in a new battery in this XPS 13 9360 right away as batteries do age over time. Anyone done a XPS 13 9360 here yet? Can't be much different from doing my former Dell XPS 13 L322x
I just got to find a good OEM battery supplier.

Well, I was referred from Dell.com and this forum to get this battery since Dell themselves don't carry it anymore.
    New Dell OEM Original XPS 13 9360 4-Cell 60Wh Battery - PW23Y
    https://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=24232
I ordered it and I'll let you all know how it goes, installation and battery run time after I get it.

So no one here has installed a XPS 13 battery?
