If I ordered a laptop today, how long does it usually take to get it?

Also when will Dell have the back to school sale on XPS laptops? Would you get it before school starts if you ordered it then?

When you configure your laptop on their website, they give you an estimated ship date. Usually takes 2-3 weeks.

They have 20%/25% off XPS and 25%/30% off Inspiron laptops right now, and they're pretty good deals. It usually takes my orders less than two weeks to build and ship, but sometimes they can be short on parts and have to delay your delivery date (they will say "May delay your (insert notebook here) deliver date if you're ordering a part they're short on).

It took me literally a week. I ordered it with an estimted ship date at the end of July. And they shipped it like 4 days later, and it came the next day.

    Hilarious title :D

Dell takes it own sweet time to deliver, order ahead of time rather than waiting for discounts.

    Hi!Hi! ~
If you ordered your laptop today...it all depends on how long it is in Production and in the Build process. Once you order your laptop you will get an *estimated shipping date*.

The delivery of my 1530 took about 3 weeks ~ it would've only taken about 9 days..but a part was on back order!~

Dell always has deals going on! And, depending on when you ordered, that will tell when you would receive it.

Alot of the time the ESD if forecast out....and there is possibly a good chance that you would receive it before the ESD date ;)

If, your a student..you may want to take advantage of your schools discount, if available. ;)

And, I think that you would want to take advantage of the discounts for the costs savings vs. ordering ahead of time without using any discount.

Hope that helps ;) :) And, good luck!

    Cin ;) :)

It depends mostly on if there are any delays with the components you buy. A lot of the time they have a lengthy delivery date, but you get it much sooner.
